Stretching along the entire coastline, Tanote Bay provides depths ranging from 8m to 18m and strikes a perfect balance between artificial reef structures and natural coral reefs, creating an underwater haven teeming with marine life.
Coral Reefs
The dive site offers a stunning array of corals, featuring brain corals, staghorn corals, barrel sponges, and anemones whish provide a secure and thriving habitat for a diverse community of reef fish, including Sea Turtles in search of a tasty treat...
... Anemone fish, Longfin Bannerfish, Blue Ringed Angelfish, Parrotfish, Big school of Yellow Tail Barracuda and Trevally, as well as Don't forget to watch out for the the infamous titan triggerfish and the sneaky Sea Krait!
Near the main reef, you'll find an artificial reef project featuring a coral nursery. This initiative helps protect the natural reef and supports local marine conservation efforts
On the southern flank of the main site, an old motorbike resides with its protective guardian – an aggressive little Damselfish.
Sunken Catamaran
As you venture southeast from the the main dive site, you'll discover a sunken catamaran.
Macro lovers will delight in the opportunity to spot pipefishes, cleaner shrimps, nudi's and spider crabs here. You might even encounter a large Jenkins Whipray resting in the sandy seabed beneath the catamaran.
