The night boat can be a good idea if you arrive late in the day to Surat Thani or if you want to spend a night on the boat.
Even if it allows bringing a car to Koh Tao, this is not recommended; Koh Toa is better experienced by walking or with a scooter.

From Bangkok to Chumphon by car
If you have a car, you can drive from Bangkok to Chumphon, it takes about 6h30.
Direction:
- From Bangkok, take Highway No. 35 (Rama 2 Road)
- Turn left onto Highway No. 4 (Petchkasem Road) through Phetchaburi Province Prachuap Khiri Khan until reaching the Pathomporn intersection
- Turn left in the direction of Chumphon town
- Follow Highway No. 4001 to Highway No. 4098. The distance from Chumphon town to Thung Makham Noi Pier is about 30 kilometers.
There is a 50 baht/night car deposit service at the harbor.

We recommend booking tickets in advance during the high season, long holidays, or significant festivals.
Bus, train, and plane times are subject to change. Please check before every trip. Refrain from flying after diving. PADI recommends a minimum interval of 18 hours before taking a flight after multiple dives.
