Located just north of the HTMS Sattakut wreck in Koh Tao, Hin Pee Wee is a captivating dive site brimming with marine life. The main rock pinnacle begins around 7 meters below the surface, extending to approximately 20 meters. Smaller pinnacles surround the main one, and to the southeast, additional rock formations lead to a depth of 28 meters. Given its depth and size, Hin Pee Wee is best suited for advanced-level divers!
This site showcases stunning soft coral formations, along with captivating color-changing emperor fish, mantis shrimp, and nudibranchs. Hin Pee Wee is known for the sight of Long Faced Emperor fish in small groups. Other inhabitants include Brown Banded Grouper, Moon Wrasse, and various Damsel fish. Sea snakes drop by regularly, and who knows, you might just run into some turtles and even whalesharks !
Even though Hin Pee Wee may be on the smaller side, there's a lot to explore—take it slow, and you'll discover all kinds of sea creatures cozied up in the rock fractures! Hin Pee Wee also serves as a middle ground for more experienced and adventurous divers navigating to or from the HTMS Sattakut or White Rock. While it's possible to explore all three dive sites in one go, having Enriched Nitrox and good air consumption skills is recommended for an optimal underwater experience.
TO SUM IT-UP!
Hin Pee Wee is a great dive site to pop out to with a small group of advanced fun divers!
